Sights of Summer Winding Down

You can see all around that summer is winding down in New England. From the hibiscus plant that only blooms in the daylight to the bunnies all around us and the corn crop ready for picking. The seacoast has a different feel and smell at this time of the year. 
A few colorful leaves are starting to show up as Fall nears again and the sunsets are earlier each day. Pretty soon there will be colorful trees all around us here.

The Calendar Must Be Wrong

This March day started out with haze in the sky that looked like a summertime day, not a winter day here in Southern New England.

My lunch time walk found flowers that normally don't bloom in March.

The forecast is calling for possible 80 degrees later this week - what will mother nature do with this weather next?

Leap Day 2012 Has Given Us Some Snow!

What a difference a day made as the day prior was 50 degrees with clear blue sky!

New England - Where Weather Changes Quickly!

This was the scene 2 days ago when we had a little snow - very little for the entire winter here in Southern New England.

And this was the scene today going for a walk - with no more snow.  If you don't like the weather here, just wait a few minutes and it does change.

Morning Fog

I was leaving the house to go for a walk this morning and was amazed at the fog!

An hour later is had disappeared as the temperature's rose and the sun came out.

The snow has just started here and this is a night shot of it - you can see some white on the colorful leaves that just fell tonight.

If the weather folks are right I'll have more photos tomorrow of this rare October weather event.

A Beach Day on Columbus Day in RI

Usually on Columbus Day you are in Sweatshirts and Jeans - not today, it was 85 Degrees.
