The month of August brings us signs of summer slowly coming to an end. I don't like the earlier sunsets but I do like some of the cooler temperatures we have been having here.
The bay looks different this time of year as well the grass. The shadows are longer. The sunrise comes up later and even the birds are not up until then. The chirping has now begun as the sun is rising here in the East.
What signs of summer leaving are you finding in your area?
Our summer in Texas hasn't been so bad. I think we had a couple weeks of 100-degree weather but other than that not as bad.

DeleteI've been "feeling it" a lot in the last week ... and I'm sad to see summer go, especially this year since we've had so much rain (western NC) and cooler temperatures. I don't actually feel like we've had a proper summer! Ah well! :-)

DeleteWe're also enjoying cooler weather. We're still surprised at the shorter days -- we have to take down the bird feeders earlier and earlier. Your part of the country still looks good in August.

You really like Summer, don't you? As you may already know, we don't find many seasonal changes here as you do, but quite a mix of 'em sometimes except for winter. Many foreigners visit here love visiting beach with warmer weather too :)

ReplyDeleteSummer is not leaving us just yet. It goes on til late September. What state are you in? Anyway, I cannot wait for Autumn to come coz that's the time of the year when I'm most alive. I know sounds like a vampire...haha. I'm nocturnal. And I love the cool weather instead.
