Beautiful Sailboats in the Atlantic Ocean

Summertime is really my favorite time of the year. We don't need coats, we don't have to warm up the cars - we can just go. And the places around Rhode Island are just beautiful in the Summertime. From the beaches to the gardens and walking tracks - there is always great sights around during the summer months especially near the Atlantic ocean.
This time instead of Jamestown I went to Narragansett to a beach called East Matunuck to get some rest and relaxation with friends.
The next to the last photo is of the track I walk at and it was during the sunrise while the grass was being watered.

What is your favorite time of the year?

  1. It's easy to see why you enjoy summertime so much. Your photos are gorgeous.

I couldn't find your e-mail address to answer your questions about my rose. Ronald Reagan got a rose named after him because he signed the bill making the rose our national flower. The blossoms will last from ten days to two weeks in moderate weather, slightly less if it's very hot and dry.

    1. Thanks George, I'm so glad you answered my question on that rose. I was curious :) Good to know the history. Have a great week ahead there.

  2. I don't really have a favorite. There are things about each season that I love. I like all the seasons. : )

    1. Hi Happyone, I used to but winter is not really my favorite anymore. Maybe because we had so much snow this past winter. Thanks for coming by.

  3. Great pics Lisa! I prefer Spring and Fall but for the past 10 years it seems we go from Winter straight into Summer. Although I appreciate wearing flip flops and tanks tops in the summer time, I like wear my sweatpants, boots, and hoodies more in the winter. Plus Titan and I can play more outside when it's below 75. :)

    1. Thanks Bren. If I had to pick, I would choose Fall as my 2nd fav and spring 3rd before Winter. Spring doesn't really come or last around here either Bren.

  4. Summer well-captured, Lisa.

I can find good things about each season - spring with its new growth and emerging flowers, summer with heat and outdoor activities, fall with its beautiful colours, and winter with beautiful snowy landscapes ... but, we head south (FL) now in late fall to escape winters which never seem to end.

btw - definition of a Canadian spring: the 15 minutes between winter and summer !

    1. Thank you Rick. I love your definition of a Canadian spring, it's how the same length here lately too. It comes and goes so fast into summer now. I love watching the snow but not having to drive and deal with it :)
