The Gray Days of March Beat The Snow

March's Gray Skies

March arrived with gray skies and rain that melted most of the snow. It was nice to see grass around after the snow from the big snow storm melted. It is always peaceful around a cemetery and why are they always located on a hill? I drive around our area more during my day job and noticed all the cemeteries are on a hill.
Is it because they are closer to heaven?

A Beautiful Sunset Later in the Day

Sunset at the tree farm

pretty sunset

It is so nice to the sunset after 5 pm EST now and it must mean Spring is on the way. I had to stop and take some shots of the beautiful sunset on my way home last night at the tree farm.

Have you noticed it staying light out longer too?

Red Sky At Night A Sailor's Delight Still?

Do you believe Red Sky at Night is Still a Sailor's Delight?

Do you know who used this in a play many years ago?  And do you know which play it was in?

Did you know the following was said in the bible about red skies?

"When in evening, ye say, it will be fair weather: For the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today; for the sky is red and lowering."

We did not have foul weather the following day except for morning fog.
That could be a problem for sailors.

Gray Day in the Old City

It was a gray day in the city but I had to walk to several places today and found some great city architecture and sights.

Construction work is always happening in the city.

I found this to be ironic in the old architecture - can you see it too?

Beautiful architecture remains throughout the city.

The oldest shopping mall in the United States remains in the city but is now empty.
