The Snowstorm That Was in Pictures

How tall the snow piles were in comparison to the shopping carriages

Don't forget to shovel around the fire hydrants when it snows - our local firemen came to do them

And the mail carrier needs room to deliver mail

It was hard to tell what color the traffic lights were covered in snow

The snow that fell after the Blizzard of 2013 - looked more like ice on the trees

The blizzard of 2013 continued to be work for many who had to shovel their driveways, paths, mailboxs, etc. We had a little snow covering a few days later and it looked more like ice on the already snow covered trees.

@lisapatb Wednesday night into Thursday is definitely looking like a possibility. May be toward 2" snow...but 6-8" not out of the question.

Thankfully it was just around 2" not the possible 6"-8". Blue skies prevealed yesterday but snow is in the weather forecast again for this weekend.

The Blizzard of 2013 was forecast correctly as it is still snowing here in Rhode Island. The wind was really howling overnight. We still have a few hours left to go with this snowstorm.

It still does not compare to the 1978 Blizzard which left up to 40" of snow in some areas of Rhode Island. I was stuck at school for a week. It was fun back then!

The Beginnings of a Storm Named Nemo Arriving

Nemo is just beginning here in Rhode Island and it sure is supposed to pack us a punch with heavy snow and damaging wind.

A Beautiful Sunset on a Very Cold Day

This morning started out very cold

The weekend forecast  - a double whammy of a storm may develop

Yesterday I was able to catch a sunset upon a hill through the trees. At the same time you could see the moon rising on the other side. It looks like almost a full moon is upon us.
