This tree was found at edge of ocean and appeared to be very old |

The wall once was very neatly packed with rocks |

The parking lot - we were shocked to see a tiny parking lot after #Sandy |

The parking lot looked like the moon |

You can see here how small the parking lot became |

The gazebo that once held many weddings and special events - No longer |
The Point Judith area was especially hit hard and it was amazing to see how much of the parking lot was now all covered by large rocks. It felt like you were walking on the moon crossing the parking lot via foot. You can tell the difference from my visit in June to the Point Judith area how the wall once looked. You can read more about the history of Point Judith here.
Are you still seeing things from Sandy's superstorm?
Wow Lisa, that is truly sad. Looks like Sandy really caused some severe damage up and down the coast. Hope we don't see another one of her kind for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was but also still beautiful, the ocean that is. I saw something brewing this am. I have to check accuweather again soon or my meteorologist from the Weather Channel :)
