Cows on a farm on a beautiful late spring day

The other week I took a different way home and found these cows on a farm. I love taking different ways home now. These cows were very interesting. This top image is when the cow was like posing for me! He seemed to like the attention but when I got closer he started to run away.

According to research on cows they are very intelligent animals and can remember things for a long time. They can form friendships with other cows and even hold grudges against those that treat them badly. Imagine?

Have you come across cows in your area? If so, how did they react to you?

  3. They used to say there were more cows than people in Vermont. I don't think that is true anymore. Only recently have we started to see cows other than the blackk and white Holsteins.

    1. Hi Olga, why is that? Are there less farms in Vermont too now? Thanks for coming by.

  4. Thanks for the information (and the wonderful pictures). I grew up on a farm and didn't know about them forming friendships and holding grudges. Have a great weekend.

  7. Hi Lisa,

Greeny farms with browny cows. Love it :) I've seen more of 'em in advertisements.

We have no farm near, but there is a cattle wandering around our home too. They just got owners. Some use 'em to work in their paddy fields, some use with carts and others used to get milk for their families, and they take care of 'em too.

BTW they are relly inncent but there's one stubborn cow though :D

    Cheers...
