Sights of Summer Winding Down

You can see all around that summer is winding down in New England. From the hibiscus plant that only blooms in the daylight to the bunnies all around us and the corn crop ready for picking. The seacoast has a different feel and smell at this time of the year.
A few colorful leaves are starting to show up as Fall nears again and the sunsets are earlier each day. Pretty soon there will be colorful trees all around us here.

Can you tell which photo was used by an app called Camera 360?

  1. I will miss my trip to the RI coast this year. Just one of so many things that I will miss.

  2. Although the days are still hot here on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee, the nights are getting cooler as well as longer. In many ways it's hard to believe that it is nearly September.

    1. Hi George, I know, I can't believe we are just days away from September and the roads are filling up with yellow buses.

    1. Thanks Bren, I can sure wait for that - but I will enjoy the fall foliage coming up. And I'll be headed West in October.

  5. Beautiful hibiscus. I wish that fall would start showing its face around these parts. Sometimes it feels like we never even have winter!

    1. Thanks Ann, they are precious flowers as they only open up in the daylight. You can have my winter this upcoming year if you would like :) Farmers Almanac is calling for a cold wet one...
