Ice Skating in Boston to Celebrate a Birthday

City of Boston

Just over a month ago my girlfriends and I went to Boston to celebrate my birthday. We really enjoyed our time there. We visited Frog Pond in the center of the city. It was a beautiful sunny day after a snowstorm the previous day.

This winter seems to be the winter that never ends here in Southern New England. We had a little dusting just yesterday and I see a little more still in the forecast for next week. It's not the first time that we've had Spring snow.

Are you now ready for the warmer weather to come and for the snow to finally stop?
I know I sure am.

Can Nature Be Beautiful In The City?

butterfly in the city

flowers in the city

nature in the city

These photo's made me wonder if nature can be just as beautiful in the city as it is in suburbia. The last photo seems ironic with beautiful flowers with city buildings in the background. The butterflies were everywhere around these pretty purple flowers. I was lucky enough to catch one for that first photo. Catching butterflies in a picture is not easy.

Does your city have beautiful nature?

A Different Path In The City

What is this old building? I took a different path on my walk and did not recognize this one.

The birds had a feast in the park.

City and Suburban Nature

You can have the best of both worlds in the nearby city and suburban areas in Southern New England.

Do you know which annual flower this is about to bloom next?

The Swans

What a beautiful swan in the city river.

But I think he may have been camera shy.
